Nokia G10 may open a new family of smartphones from the brand

Several online sources report that the Finnish company HMD Global may soon announce a new smartphone family under the Nokia brand – G-Series. Its first representative will allegedly be the mid-range model Nokia G10.

Information about the device has already appeared on various certification sites, including in Russia and Thailand. Besides, a mention of the device was found in the TÜV Rheinland database.

It is known that the smartphone will receive a 6.4-inch display and a processor with eight processing cores. It is said about the presence of at least 4 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 64 GB, expandable with a microSD card.

The device is credited with having a quad-camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor, a unit with wide-angle optics, a macro module, and a depth sensor. Power will be provided by a 4000 mAh rechargeable battery rechargeable via the USB Type-C port.

Counterpoint Technology Market Research estimates that 2.8 million Nokia-branded smartphones were sold in the last quarter of 2020. This corresponds to a share of 0.7% and the fifteenth place in the list of the largest global market players.
