Both ZTE and Nubia are known for their special approach to flagship cameras: they have been getting non-top Sony sensors (IMX787) and 35mm lenses for several years, while the Chinese call their camera phones real flagships. Probably history will repeat itself soon.
Nubia intrigues with new camera phone and its (potentially) very large sensor
Nubia has published a teaser of a promising top model. The caption on the picture reads: ” The new flagship of the image, more than an inch. 35mm optics. Major update .” That is, the company seems to be promising an image sensor larger than an inch, but in reality something like this most likely will not happen: insiders say that the appearance of sensors larger than one inch in production models is a prospect for at least several years. Nevertheless, the smartphone promises to be interesting. And it will be presented this month.
