Chinese manufacturers continue to expand the production of OLED panels.
Citing data from market research company Omdia, the source said that 62.8% of all smartphones released in the fourth quarter of 2020 include OLED displays. Another 31.8% of the devices went to liquid crystal displays. It’s hard to say which displays are in use in the remaining 5.4%. Among them, of course, there are devices with E Ink displays, but they are unlikely to be that numerous.

Omdia estimates that the main supplier of OLED panels for smartphones – Samsung Display – will ship more than $ 5 billion of these products in the current quarter, which is 30% more than in the first quarter of 2020.
