Stable MIUI 12.5 can be expected from April

Xiaomi is currently testing the MIUI 12.5 proprietary shell for several dozen smartphone models. It has now become known that beta development for smartphones Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Mi CC9e will be completed at the end of April.

On Android 11, you can give up: Xiaomi will stop beta development for Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro at the end of April

More specifically, from April 24, the development of versions for internal beta testing will be stopped.

As noted by the thematic resource PiunikaWeb, this puts an end to the hopes of Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro users to receive an update based on the Android 11 operating system. MIUI 12.5 with Android 10 will be available for these models.

The exclusion from the MIUI beta program does not mean that updates will immediately cease to be released for these models. Nevertheless, users should no longer hope to receive MIUI.

In April, Xiaomi was planning to start rolling out the first stable builds of MIUI 12.5. The new version of the shell is only available to users in China, even in test form. The international testing launch will begin later.
