Google tried its hand at gaming some time ago with the Stadia project but quickly closed it. Now it is reported that the company is preparing a new project based on YouTube.
On YouTube, you can now not only watch videos but also play games.
The search giant is already testing the YouTube Playables gaming interface for YouTube Premium subscribers. These are small games that run directly on the YouTube page, both in the desktop version of the browser and in the mobile application.
Now this is just testing, that is, the new function is available only to a small number of users. You can check availability in the experimental section of YouTube.
There are no details about the project yet, but in general, Google’s approach is quite simple: give active YouTube users another type of content that will keep them on the platform longer.
