OnePlus Fold official debut expected in August

A lot of information has appeared on the network describing the features of the first foldable smartphone that OnePlus is preparing for release.

The details were shared by well-known network whistleblower Steve Hemmerstoffer (Steve Hemmerstoffer), known on Twitter under the nickname Onleaks. A week earlier, he posted the first renders of the OnePlus foldable smartphone.

According to the source, OnePlus’ first foldable phone will feature flagship hardware and compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 in various regions, which is expected to launch next month in Seoul. The official debut of the OnePlus Fold is expected in August, though OnePlus itself has yet to announce an announcement date.

So, OnePlus Fold will feature a large internal 7.8-inch foldable AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an external 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, Qualcomm’s current flagship SoC, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, will be installed, as well as 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory, a 4800 mAh battery with support for 67 W charging. On the back, there will be a Hasselblad triple camera (48MP main module, 48MP ultra-wide-angle module and 64MP telephoto module). For selfies, there is a 32MP embedded camera on the outside, and a 20MP one on the inside.

Out of the box, the Oxygen OS 13.1 shell based on the Android 13 operating system will be installed on the smartphone. There is also a side fingerprint scanner and an alert switch.

Steve Hemmerstoffer is a reliable informant, many of whose leaks have subsequently been fully confirmed. In particular, this was the case with OnePlus 10 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A33, Samsung Galaxy S21, Sony Xperia XZ4, Google Pixel 4 XL, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Sony Xperia 10 III and many others.
