Some time ago it was reported that OnePlus Z would have MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000 processor inside, this component would ensure good performance and good battery life to the device, but, in these days, a rather reliable tipster (Max J) has claimed that OnePlus Z will arrive with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G processor.
OnePlus Z will have a Snapdragon 765GThe Snapdragon 765G is a very good processor, although it is lower than the 865 present in OnePlus 8, it has some advantages. First of all, the chip itself is less expensive than the 865 and its slight drop in power could lead to better battery life.

One of the biggest advantages, however, is that the 765G has its 5G modem integrated into the chip itself, which means that OnePlus doesn’t have to pay extra for Qualcomm’s X55 modem.
But why install a 765G instead of an 865? The main reason is believed to be precisely the cost, in fact, most phones with the Snapdragon 865 cost a lot and therefore OnePlus, to lower the cost of some devices, is trying alternatives.
