PlayStation 5 backward compatibility details revealed

Sony Interactive Entertainment has provided information on the PlayStation’s official support site about backward compatibility of games with PlayStation 4 on PlayStation 5. As it turned out, only 10 of them will not work on the next-generation console.

The platform-holder said more than 4,000 PlayStation 4 games will run on the PlayStation 5. In addition, some of them will receive improvements – higher or more stable performance. However, Sony has warned that past-generation projects on the PlayStation 5 could fail. She also advises that before purchasing add-ons for games for PlayStation 4, check if the game itself works well on PlayStation 5.

List of PlayStation 4 games that will not be available on PlayStation 5:

  • DWVR;
  • Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One;
  • TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2;
  • Just Deal With It !;
  • Shadow Complex Remastered ;
  • Robinson: The Journey;
  • We Sing;
  • Hitman Go: Definitive Edition;
  • Shadwen;
  • Joe’s Diner.

Finally, Sony mentioned that the Tournaments and Second Screen features are not supported on PlayStation 5.

PlayStation 5 will go on sale in Russia on November 19.
