Potential OnePlus 10 Ultra with periscope zoom Hasselblad camera
Exciting rumors about a potential OnePlus 10 Ultra or OnePlus 10 Pro Plus have been circulating for some time, now there are also the matching render images that could show us how the Hasselblad camera flagship, which is equipped with a farther zoom, is a step above the OnePlus 10 could look pro.
We don’t yet know how the long-term future of OnePlus is determined either, because the strategy is not yet clearly recognizable after the merger with the Oppo brand that was announced last year. Even if the global OnePlus 10 Pro is still launched with OxygenOS , the question remains as to how long Oppo will allow itself the luxury of offering two different brands with very similar flagship features.
Now that it’s clear that the Oppo Find X5 Pro , like the OnePlus 10 Pro , will also go after customers with a Hasselblad-branded camera, the technology transfer for the rumored OnePlus 10 Ultra could also work in the other direction. A rumor recently pointed to at least a higher quality one OnePlus flagship with Oppo’s MariSilicon ISP/NPU .
What the OnePlus 10 Ultra could look like
This rumor is fueled these days after a patent was uncovered from last year (see above) pointing to a OnePlus flagship in the vein of the OnePlus 10 Pro, albeit with a key camera change. While the OnePlus 10 Pro, which is already available in China, was only equipped with a 3x telephoto camera taken over from the OnePlus 9 Pro (available here from Amazon ), the patent’s camera array clearly shows a rectangular periscope optic for probably around 5x optical to see zoom.
In any case, this could mean that in 2022 we will actually see another OnePlus 10 Pro+ or OnePlus 10 Ultra with an upgraded zoom camera, possibly also with Oppo’s MariSilicon ISP . The Concept Creator has visualized the potential design of this second OnePlus flagship with a more far-reaching Hasselblad triple cam in the images below, once also in comparison with the camera array of the OnePlus 10 Pro. It should be noted that this is still no proof of the existence of the OnePlus 10 Ultra, and apart from the patent and hearsay, no solid evidence of such a smartphone has yet emerged.
