At the same time, the Moskvich plant itself has nothing to do with the premiere of the car.
The next crossover of the domestic brand “Moskvich” will be “Moskvich 5”. The car was presented at KamAZ: before the meeting of the board of directors, the delegations of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Rostec showed various new items. Among them were the latest KamAZ “Compass 5”, and – unexpectedly – “Moskvich 5”.

A sign was installed next to the car with the name (in fact, “Moskvich 5”) and the main characteristics. Now that all the cards have been revealed, we can say with absolute certainty that Moskvich 5 is JAC Sehol X6. The “Russian” model inherited from the “Chinese” even such a trifle as an orange molding at the bottom of the doors. The interior is not shown in the pictures, but there is no doubt that it will be a copy of the JAC Sehol X6 interior.
Moskvich 5 will be offered with two 1.5-liter turbocharged engines. The first develops 149 hp, the second (with direct injection) – 184 hp. Accordingly, the first engine is combined only with a variator, the second – with a 6-speed “robot” with two clutches. But the drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.
