Canalys analysts assessed the Indian smartphone market for the second quarter of this year, and there have been some interesting changes.

The market leader is still Samsung with a share of 18%, which sold 6.6 million devices. But if earlier Xiaomi constantly competed with the Korean giant, now the latter has dropped to third place, having sold 5.4 million devices and occupying 15%. All because of a 22% decline in sales, while Samsung lost only 1%.

However, Vivo, which climbed to second place, managed to increase sales by 7% to 6.4 million, so it took about the same 18% as Samsung.

The top five also included Realme with 4.3 million smartphones and a 12% share and Oppo, which sold 3.7 million and occupied 10% of the market. All companies, except Vivo, showed a decline in sales in annual terms.

It is also interesting that all other companies outside the top five increased their sales by 44% in total, while the opposite trend was observed earlier: only the leaders grew.
