Presentation expected in September
According to Jeff Pu, a technical analyst at Hong Kong-based investment firm Haitong International Securities, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Recall that the starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the US is from $ 1,100. Pu has previously said that the price of the small iPhone 15 Pro will also be increased.
Aside from the bigger battery and display, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to get one major difference from the iPhone 15 Pro, and that is a periscope lens. Both Pro models will get a telephoto lens, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to feature a periscope module that will provide 5x or 6x optical zoom, a notable improvement over current models’ 3x zoom.
Jeff Pu added that the iPhone 15 series will go into mass production in August, so the presentation of the line will traditionally take place in September.
Pu believes that Apple will release about 84 million devices in the second half of 2023, with the two Pro models likely to be the most popular devices in the lineup in the first few months after launch.
Rumor has it that all four iPhone 15 models will get a USB-C port, Dynamic Island, and a slightly more curved bezel.
