The development kit supports video, artificial intelligence, and 5G
Qualcomm Technologies has announced that it has begun shipping the Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 high-performance AI accelerators to select customers. Qualcomm says the accelerator relies on “advanced signal processing and state-of-the-art energy efficiency to support AI solutions for a variety of environments, including data centers, cloud frontiers, edge devices. and 5G infrastructure ”. At the same time, the Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 Edge Development Kit was made available to accelerate the adoption of edge applications. It is a complete system solution for AI processing up to 24 simultaneous 1080p video streams with 5G connectivity.
Qualcomm begins shipping Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 accelerators and development kits
The Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 is said to achieve 400 trillion operations per second (TOPS). The accelerator is offered in several form factors with power consumption from 15W to 75W.
Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 software suite includes a complete set of tools and supports popular frameworks and runtimes such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, Caffe, GLOW, and ONNX. An SDK is available to developers, which includes a compiler and emulator, runtime packages, APIs, kernel drivers, and tools.
Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 Edge Development Kit is an optimized system solution that delivers high-speed AI inference, video processing, and 5G connectivity. It includes three components: Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 for AI inference, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 for apps and video processing, and Snapdragon X55 for 5G connectivity.
