QWR Launches Humbl: India’s First AI Smart Glasses with POV Recording, Live Translation & More

A Big Leap in Wearable AI Technology from India

In a groundbreaking announcement, Indian deep-tech startup QWR (Question What’s Real) has unveiled Humbl, the country’s first AI-powered smart glasses. This innovative wearable tech device is designed to combine utility, privacy, and advanced AI capabilities, making it a direct competitor to global offerings like the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses.

Slated for an official launch later this month, Humbl is expected to ship in the final quarter of 2025, introducing a powerful, hands-free solution to digital interactions.

AI Features Designed for Everyday Use

The Humbl smart glasses come integrated with a voice-activated AI assistant that transforms the device from simple eyewear into a highly functional wearable. Key capabilities include:

  • POV Video Recording: Capture your point-of-view moments using voice commands.

  • Conversation Summaries: The AI can listen in on meetings and summarize them for you.

  • Hands-Free Navigation: Get real-time turn-by-turn directions.

  • Music Playback: Enjoy music with built-in audio playback, activated by your voice.

  • Real-Time Translation: Communicate across languages effortlessly.

  • Reminders and Notifications: Set tasks, get reminders, and stay organized.

Simply say, “Hey Humbl”, and the glasses activate the smart assistant for a seamless, touch-free experience.

Design and Functionality

While QWR hasn’t revealed the complete hardware specifications yet, the design of Humbl suggests a sleek, discreet frame resembling traditional sunglasses, enabling it to blend into everyday life. However, what sets it apart is the embedded tech:

  • Built-in Cameras: Used to capture video and assist in real-time navigation.

  • Audio Recognition: Enables contextual awareness, allowing the assistant to respond meaningfully.

  • Visual Processing: Capable of identifying objects and landmarks for enhanced assistance.

The company states that Humbl’s AI is powered by audio-visual data inputs, although details about the large language model (LLM) behind the assistant are still under wraps.

When Will Humbl Be Available?

Although the official launch is expected this month, QWR has confirmed that shipments will only begin in Q4 of 2025. As of now, there’s no product listing on QWR’s website, but early promotional content is being shared across the brand’s social media platforms.

QWR: The Company Behind Humbl

Founded in 2017 by Suraj Aiar, QWR (Question What’s Real) is a Bengaluru-based startup working in AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), and XR (Extended Reality). The company already markets two VR headsets and previously launched Aurl, an audio-only smart glasses model.

While Aurl was limited to speaker-based audio playback without video capabilities, Humbl is a major leap forward, integrating vision, voice, and AI to redefine smart eyewear.

How Humbl Compares to Global Rivals

Similarities with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses

Humbl bears a striking similarity in function to the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, which are known for their AI integration, POV video, and social media features. However, QWR’s offering is Made in India, designed with privacy and contextual awareness in mind.

It could become a game-changing alternative for Indian consumers looking for cutting-edge wearable AI without importing costly international models.

India’s Entry into Smart Eyewear Innovation

With the unveiling of Humbl, QWR is not only pushing the boundaries of Indian innovation but also making a statement on the future of AI-powered personal technology. As wearable devices become more intelligent and seamless, smart glasses like Humbl are poised to become the next big thing in digital interaction.

While we await more details on pricing, specifications, and app integrations, QWR’s Humbl already promises to redefine what smart wearables can do in the everyday lives of users.
