A rare modification of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar called the 722 Edition will be sold at auction at RM Sotheby’s.

A total of 150 of these machines were built. For a 2007 car, they plan to earn from 425 to 475 thousand pounds sterling (from 516 to 577 thousand dollars).

The only road-going supercar developed jointly by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren was introduced in 2003. Three years later, he had a “charged” modification, the 722 Edition.

This version received a 5.4-liter V8, which was boosted from 626 to 650 horsepower. The car, according to official information, accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 337 km/h.

In addition, the suspension has been improved, the ground clearance has been reduced by 10 mm, more powerful brakes have been installed and the interior trim has been changed. In addition, the SLR 722 is equipped with original 19-inch wheels.

The example on offer left the factory in December 2006 and was registered for road use on 4 January 2007. The car is finished in Crystal Antimon Gray Metallic with black/anthracite leather Alcantara interiors and carbon fiber seats. Later the car was supplemented with a sports package and a CD changer.
