Realme has held a virtual event to celebrate the Realme 8 series smartphones’ global launch, including the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro models. We talked about the latter in detail here, and in this material, we will talk about the younger novelty.
The Realme 8 smartphone is equipped with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution (2400 × 1080 pixels), 60 Hz refresh rate, and 180 Hz touch layer response rate. Thanks to the thin bezels, the screen-to-bezel ratio is 90.5%. The smartphone uses a fingerprint sensor built into the screen to unlock.
The device is based on an eight-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz and has 4, 6, or 8 GB of RAM on board with a flash drive a capacity of 128 GB. The device runs Android 11 with a proprietary shell Realme UI 2.0.
The AI smartphone’s quad rear camera includes the main 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide-angle optics (119 degrees), a 2-megapixel module for macro photography, and a 2-megapixel sensor for measuring scene depth. The selfie camera’s resolution in the hole in the upper left corner of the screen is 16 megapixels.
The 5000mAh battery supports a 30W SuperDart Charge, which recharges up to 50% of the battery in 26 minutes, and fully recharges in 65 minutes. The novelty also has a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The smartphone is enclosed in a body with a thickness of 7.99 mm and weighing 177 g. Realme 8 will go on sale on March 25 in two colors – silver and black, starting at $ 206.
