But above 3.2 GHz it will not be possible to raise it

The Realme GT5 smartphone will stand out not only with its record-breaking 240-watt charging for today. It will be the first smartphone in the world to give users easy access to CPU clock control.

Realme GT5 will allow users to control the CPU frequency

Some sources say that this is the first smartphone with CPU overclocking support, but this is not entirely correct. As you can see on the poster, the frequency can indeed be controlled, but it will not be possible to increase it above the native ones for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 3.2 GHz. So it’s more likely not about overclocking, but, on the contrary, about downclocking. That is, about reducing the frequency.

Apparently, users will be able to choose from preset values, but details are not yet available. It is not clear whether it will be possible to adjust the operating frequencies for different modes, or whether this is a control of the overall frequency. In any case, users will have the opportunity to lower the frequency, thus reducing heat and improving autonomy.

The novelty will be announced on August 28.
