Realme is preparing several fresh smartwatch models at once
In May of this year, the Chinese Realme, a well-known smartphone developer, announced its first “smart” watch – the Realme Watch gadget (in the first image). As it is now known, the company is considering new smart chronometers.
The description of the devices appeared on the website of China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). Patent images allow you to get an idea of the appearance of the designed watch.
As you can see, there are two slightly different options. In both cases, the main module is square with rounded corners. A physical control button is located on the right side of the case.
On the back is a set of sensors. It can be assumed that chronometers will be able to assess the change in heart rate during the day and, possibly, record the level of blood oxygen saturation and/or read blood pressure.
In addition, patent documents indicate the use of straps with different fastening designs. Unfortunately, other technical details have not been disclosed yet.
Counterpoint Technology Market Research estimates that nearly 42 million smartwatches were shipped worldwide in the first half of this year. Approximately the same result was recorded a year earlier. At the same time, revenues rose 20% year on year.
