Together with a powerful gaming tablet, a very interesting smartphone, the Red Magic 8S Pro, was introduced in China today.
Firstly, it is the most powerful model in the world based on Qualcomm SoC. The smartphone uses SoC Snapdragon 8 Leading Version with a super-core frequency of 3.36 GHz, which, coupled with a serious cooling system (with a fan), made it possible to achieve an impressive performance result of 1.71 million points in AnTuTu.
The second point is related to the presence of a version with 24 GB of physical RAM. An insider at Digital Chat Station assures that more models with this amount of RAM are on the way, but the Red Magic 8S Pro was the first. The top version also has 1 TB of flash memory.
Red Magic 8S Pro received a 6.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2480 x 1116 pixels and a frame rate of 120 Hz. The maximum brightness is 1300 cd / sq.m, the PWM frequency is 1440 Hz. The display provides coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. Fingerprint scanner – sub-screen, seventh generation. It also allows you to determine the heart rate. The developers focus on a very thin frame, its width on the left and right is only 1.48 mm, at the top – 1.68 mm, at the bottom – 2.28 mm. The display does without cutouts (the front camera with a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16A1Q sensor is sub-screen) and occupies almost 94% of the front panel area.

Red Magic 8S Pro received a 6000 mAh battery with support for 80 W charging, it fully charges in 25 minutes. The Red Magic 8S Pro + version is also presented, it has a battery capacity of 5000 mAh, but the power is twice as high – 165 watts. Such a smartphone is fully charged in 14 minutes.
The camera is traditionally not given much attention in gaming smartphones, so here the main sensor is Samsung S5KGN5 with a resolution of 50 megapixels. It is accompanied by sensors with a resolution of 8 and 2 megapixels, there is no optical stabilization.
Red Magic 8S Pro runs RedMagic OS 8.0 based on Android 13, which is specially adapted for games. Compared to the previous version of the shell, the smoothness of the interface has been increased by 30%.
