The screen is the highlight of this model.
Redmi has already talked a lot about its new flagship Redmi K60 Ultra (aka K60 Extreme Edition) – about the screen, memory, power subsystem. Behind the scenes so far only the camera, but the insider Digital Chat Station fixed this moment. He said that in the main camera of the smartphone, the main sensor is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX800.
The IMX800 is certainly a high-quality sensor, but far from a top-end one. For example, the exact same sensor is used in Redmi K60 Pro, but the Ultra model is one step higher. Also, such a sensor is used in mid-range models like Xiaomi Civi 3 and Honor 70. In other words, you should not expect miracles from the Redmi K60 Ultra camera, because the rest of the sensors from its composition will be even simpler.
Redmi K60 Ultra will be good in everything except the camera
But otherwise, Redmi K60 Ultra looks very good. The device will receive a very high-quality OLED TCL C7 display with a resolution of 1.5K, a frame rate of 144 Hz and a PWM frequency of 2880 Hz. SoC MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus will provide maximum performance (more than flagships on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2), the top version will have 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash memory. Redmi K60 Ultra will be the brand’s first model with full water resistance (IP68) , and will also receive support for 120W charging.
Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately announce the specifications and release dates of Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12, as well as Xiaomi 13.
