The premiere of this model may take place in the fall
A new Xiaomi smartphone with catalog number 23117RK66C has appeared in the Geekbench database. According to the ITHome resource, this designation hides the future flagship of Redmi – Redmi K70 Pro. Considering that the prototype was tested (and even in Geekbench 5), you can ignore the test results, but there is confirmation that this model is built on Qualcomm’s new top-end SoC – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Redmi K70 Pro could be one of the first smartphones to run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The code designation for this single-chip system is manet. It is also interesting that the Redmi K70 Pro has 16 GB of RAM and Android 14 pre-installed.
Considering that the test of the new Redmi flagship appeared unusually early, we can hope that the smartphone will be released earlier than its predecessors. The premiere of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is expected on October 24, the first day of the annual Snapdragon Summit, followed by announcements of production models based on this SoC. That is, the premiere of Redmi K70 Pro could take place as early as November.
