Ricoh Theta Z1 51GB compact camera with support for shooting spherical panoramas presented
Ricoh has announced the Theta Z1 51GB, a new compact camera designed for high-quality 360-degree panoramic photography.
The gadget is equipped with two optical modules on opposite sides of the body and two 1-inch image sensors. There are built-in adapters for wireless communication, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2.
The camera can form spherical panoramas with a resolution of approximately 23 million pixels – 6720 × 3360 pixels. Also, 4K (3840 x 1920 pixels) footage can be recorded at 30 frames per second with a 360-degree field of view.
For storage of materials, 51 GB of memory is available to users. This capacity will be sufficient, for example, to record 6350 panoramic images in JPEG format.
The device is equipped with a 0.93-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) information display. The minimum shutter speed is 1/25000 s. The three-axis stabilization system is mentioned, which works during video shooting.
The camera is made on the hardware platform Qualcomm Snapdragon, and Android is used as the operating system. The estimated price of the new item is 1050 US dollars.
