At the same time, it is assumed that the iPhone 13 series will have four smartphones, as well as in the iPhone 12 family. Recall, according to rumours, Apple planned to implement 120 Hz displays back in the iPhone 12 but abandoned this idea due to their too-high energy consumption. However, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will still use energy-efficient LTPO panels made with low-temperature polycrystalline oxides with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. One of the main advantages of such LTPO matrices is the ability to dynamically change the refresh rate, reducing it down to 1 Hz, for example, when displaying a static image or using the Always On Display function, which has a positive effect on energy consumption.

As for the iPhone 13 and 13 mini, they will receive more familiar matrices based on LTPS (low-temperature polycrystalline silicon) technology. Their refresh rate will be 60 Hz.
