According to rumors from the Economic Daily News, the updated Nintendo Switch model may be equipped with a mini-LED display from Taiwanese manufacturer Innolux Corporation.

Mini-LED technology has several advantages over LCDs and OLEDs. For example, it can improve the backlighting and contrast of the screen, as well as increase the battery life of the console. If a potential Nintendo Switch Pro does indeed support 4K resolution, using mini-LEDs makes particular sense when playing handheld.
