Samsung closes three convenient services for smartphone users with cars

Samsung smartphones have supported MirrorLink since 2014. In fact, this is a widespread standard used to connect a smartphone to the car’s infotainment system. The preinstalled application allowed displaying information from the screen of a Samsung smartphone on the display of an automobile system.

Samsung will stop supporting MirrorLink from June 1, 2020. After it becomes unavailable to new users. Existing users will be able to continue to use it. However, if you need to reset your smartphone, connect to a new car, clear data, or even just update the smartphone firmware, then MirrorLink will be lost.

The Car Mode app was introduced by Samsung in 2015 as an alternative to Android Auto. His support will also end on June 1, 2020. After that, the application will become unavailable in the Google Play or Galaxy Store, and all personal information of Car Mode will be deleted. Installed applications will also be “destroyed.” Users are encouraged to upgrade to Android Auto.

The Find My Car app for Samsung wearable devices allows you to find the location of the car. Support will end on June 1st. The application will become unavailable for download and installation, the launch of the installed application will become impossible.
