Samsung Exynos chip with AMD graphics to debut in notebook before the end of the year
A few days ago, it was reported that in June, Samsung would hold a presentation dedicated to Exynos mobile processors with powerful AMD graphics. And now new data on this topic have been published.
It is said that the first product in the new family will be the Exynos 2200. The technical characteristics of this chip, unfortunately, have not yet been disclosed.
But it is reported that the processor will debut in a commercial product before the end of this year. Moreover, this device will not be a smartphone but a portable computer.
It is said, in particular, that the Exynos 2200 will become the “heart” of a laptop running Windows 10. The computing platform of this laptop provides for the use of cores with ARM architecture.
It is not yet clear if Samsung will release a smartphone equipped with an Exynos chip with AMD graphics this year. There is a possibility that, in addition to the Exynos 2200 solution, other representatives of the new family will be announced, designed for devices of different categories.
By the way, it was rumored earlier that Samsung was designing Exynos processors for personal computers. Such products should be the answer to the Apple M1.
