Journalists found patents on the Web that indicate the development of a sensor integration concept. How this option will be used is not yet clear – apparently, implementation options are still being considered. The company is now exploring the possibility of placing two sensors both inside and outside the case.

According to the description, the company plans to use photoplethysmography technology to measure blood flow rates. One of the options involves pinching your finger between two panels of the device, after which it will measure the pressure and determine the pulse. The second case will require you to grasp the two ends of the device with your hands.

Presumably, Samsung smartphones will detect stress levels, age, blood pressure, and vascular status. The timing of the implementation of functions and the devices they will appear in has not yet been named.

The company is rumored to be developing two new foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The timing of their release is still unknown. Whether they will receive new sensors is not yet clear.
