Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will not be released immediately after the announcement

Now, sources say that the software development process is far from complete, so the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will not come out right after the announcement, unlike the Galaxy Note20 smartphones.

It is also expected that the production of Galaxy Fold 2 will begin only in August and to a limited extent. This means that the smartphone will appear in stores at the end of August or September, but even then deliveries will below.

This is due to a shortage of ultrathin glass (UTG), which Samsung is rumored to use over a foldable display. Ultra-thin glass debuted in the Galaxy Z Flip, but supply chain sources said UTG production would be low until next year.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be slightly cheaper than its predecessor, with larger screens both inside and out. The smartphone should get a single-chip system Snapdragon 865 with 5G support and a battery capacity of 4500 mAh (this was confirmed after registering in 3C). According to rumors, Samsung may also try to implement protection against dust and moisture.
