Samsung for some reason replaced the sensor in the module with a 5x optical zoom

An insider known on Twitter under the nickname Revegnus provided the final parameters of the main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. There is only one difference from the previously reported characteristics: Samsung, for some reason, replaced the 50-megapixel Sony IMX875 sensor in the module with 5x optical zoom with another 50-megapixel simpler one – IMX854.

Insider Revegnus was the first to publish a photo of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 before its release and also described the characteristics of the Exynos 2400, which were then confirmed in Geekbench software.

Yesterday, another insider, Ice Universe, reported that Samsung smartphones of the Galaxy S24 line have already been put into production, their premiere will take place in January. And a little earlier it became known that the Galaxy S24 will support satellite communications.
