The firmware is the most advanced – One UI 6.0 based on Android 14, but for some reason, there is only 8 GB of RAM
The result of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra test (catalog number of the smartphone is SM-S928U) in the Geekbench benchmark version 6 has been published on the Internet. The result is impressive – 2234 points in the single-threaded test and almost 6807 points in the multi-threaded test. This is a very good result due to the capabilities of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 single-chip system.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was first tested on Geekbench.
The results page also presents the characteristics of the SoC. The CPU is divided into four clusters: one Arm Cortex-X4 super core with a frequency of 3.3 GHz, three Arm Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of 3.15 GHz, two Arm Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of 2.96 GHz, and two Arm Cortex-A530 cores with a frequency of 2 .27 GHz. Thus, the configuration of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU is very different from the configuration of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300. On paper, due to the larger number of Cortex-X4 supercores, the Taiwanese platform looks more powerful. As for the GPU, its role in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is performed by the Adreno 750.
Another interesting thing: the Galaxy S24 Ultra received the most advanced firmware (One UI 6.0 based on Android 14), but for some reason, there is only 8 GB of RAM. However, for a prototype (and it was not a production model that was tested) this is normal.
