Foldable phones are slowly becoming available to more consumers around the world, and according to analysts at Display Supply Chain Consultants, Samsung is the undisputed leader.

The South Korean tech giant has quickly become a leading manufacturer of foldable smartphones. The company recently unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, which is Samsung’s third foldable smartphone. The company leads the market this year and will dominate the next.
Data from Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) shows that Samsung will ship 4 million foldable smartphones over the next 12 months, accounting for 80% of the global market. So far, Samsung’s only serious competitors are Motorola and Huawei. However, Motorola and its Razr are showing weak sales, and Huawei is having big supply problems, which is rumored to delay the new flexible Huawei Mate X2 smartphone until next year.
According to preliminary estimates, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will be the best-selling foldable smartphone of 2020, followed by the Galaxy Z Fold2 and the Motorola Razr 5G. Yesterday it became known that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 is being swept off the shelves despite the price.
