The new Kodiaq, if it becomes more spacious inside, is not much at all: the wheelbase will be the same 2791 mm as the current model. But additional centimeters of space can always be won by optimizing the seatbacks and a different layout of the cabin. At the same time, the crossover will become longer by a decent 61 mm – its dimensions will be 4758 x 1864 x 1657 mm. More space (an additional 15 mm) will be above the heads of third-row passengers, and the trunk will grow by 75 liters – up to an impressive 910 liters.

Skoda Kodiaq second generation will retain petrol and diesel engines. All of them are 2.0-liter turbocharged. Gasoline power – 204 hp, diesel – 150 hp. (for the monodrive version) or 193 hp. (for all-wheel drive).

The base Kodiaq will be a mild hybrid, much like the Geely Atlas Pro. He will receive a 1.5-liter 150-horsepower engine, paired with a 7-speed DSG “robot”. At the top of the range is also a hybrid, but plug-in. The 1.5-liter internal combustion engine and electric motor will produce 204 hp in total. The capacity of the traction battery in this case is 25.7 kWh, on pure electricity the crossover is able to travel up to 100 km, and this is quite an adequate estimate (on average, consumption per 100 km is about 15 kWh, but with air conditioning or heating turned on in summer can be noticeably higher in winter). Interestingly, in terms of pure electric range, the future hybrid Kodiaq will match the Tank 500 Hi4-T presented today .
