Skoda’s Slavia and Kushaq Get a Sportier Touch: Meet the Monte Carlo and Sportline Editions
Skoda has recently introduced new, sportier-looking variants of its popular Slavia sedan and Kushaq SUV. The Slavia now comes in a Monte Carlo edition, while both the Slavia and Kushaq are available with a Sportline trim. These new variants offer a more aggressive aesthetic without compromising on the core features and performance of the original models.
The Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo
The Slavia Monte Carlo is based on the top-spec Prestige trim level and features a range of blacked-out design elements to give it a more menacing look. The exterior is adorned with a black grille, black fog lamp garnish, black front spoiler, a Monte Carlo badge on the fender, and a black boot lip spoiler. Additionally, it sports all-black 16-inch alloy wheels, dark chrome accents on the door handles, black ORVM covers, black window garnish, and blacked-out badges.
Inside, the Slavia Monte Carlo boasts a striking black interior with red accents around the AC vents. The seats are upholstered in black leatherette with red elements and stitching, and the headrests feature the Monte Carlo emblem. The cabin also features aluminum badges, door scuff plates with Monte Carlo inscriptions, and red stitching on the door pads and center armrest. To complete the sporty look, the 8-inch digital driver’s display features a red theme.
While the exterior and interior design have been enhanced, the Slavia Monte Carlo retains the same feature set as the top-end Prestige trim. This includes a 10-inch touchscreen, an 8-speaker sound system, auto AC with rear vents, a wireless phone charger, a single-pane sunroof, powered driver and co-driver seats with ventilation, six airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, a TPMS, hill-hold assist, and a rear parking camera.
The Slavia Monte Carlo is available with both the 1-liter TSI and 1.5-liter TSI engine options. The smaller engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5-liter engine is exclusively mated with a 7-speed DCT.
The Skoda Slavia and Kushaq Sportline
The Slavia and Kushaq Sportline variants are based on the mid-spec Signature trim level and offer a similar aesthetic to the Monte Carlo edition. They feature blacked-out grilles, badging, alloy wheels, boot lip spoilers, ORVM covers, and darkened LED tail lights.
Inside, the seats retain the same fabric upholstery and cabin theme as the Signature trim. The Slavia Sportline features a black and beige color theme, while the Kushaq Sportline has a black and gray theme. Both variants also get scuff plates with model name inscriptions and aluminum pedals.
In terms of features, the Sportline trims come with LED headlights with DRLs, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto AC with rear vents, a single-pane sunroof, electrically adjustable ORVMs, cruise control, and a cooled glove box. Safety features include 6 airbags, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a TPMS. Both Sportline variants also get a rear wiper and rear defogger.
The Slavia and Kushaq Sportline are available with both the 1-liter turbo-petrol engine (115 PS/178 Nm) and the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine (150 PS/250 Nm). The 1-liter engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5-liter engine is exclusively mated with a 7-speed DCT.
