It will not be called Land Hopper
It is expected that the future small SUV Toyota Land Cruiser will receive a hybrid powertrain and possibly an electric version.
The publication Carscoops published new renderings of the new product, created based on leaks, and currently known details. Toyota has previously hinted at a smaller off-road-focused vehicle. This new product could potentially appear on the market at the end of next year.
Previous rumors that the model would be called Land Hopper have already been dispelled. It turns out that this name was given to the concept of a three-wheeled electric bicycle. Toyota could potentially revive the iconic FJ Cruiser or FC Cruiser (Compact Cruiser) name.

Alternatively, Toyota could continue to use alphanumeric names. The larger model is called the Land Cruiser 300, the Prado’s replacement is the 250 series, and the compact model may be called the Land Cruiser 50 or 60.
Japan’s Best Car, citing “reliable sources,” reported that it will be offered with both internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains. In addition, there are talks about the possibility of introducing a purely electric version at a later stage.
