Users of the latest Galaxy Watch6 will be the first to join the innovation
The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 series of smartwatches is expected to debut next week alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. Much of the Galaxy Watch6’s specs have already gone public thanks to leaks. Yesterday, Samsung introduced another innovation that will be available on older Samsung watches thanks to the Thermo Check app: Life Temperature. Now the application has appeared for download on Google Play and some details have become known.
Smart watches Samsung Galaxy Watch will be able to measure the temperature of everything
As Samsung notes, the application makes it easy to measure the temperature of a variety of objects – from the food that the user is about to eat to the water that the user is about to swim in. And thanks to the infrared sensor, all this without physical contact.
The app is already available on Google Play, but the description says it can only be used with Galaxy Watch6 models. However, Samsung’s press release says otherwise: the application will first be available to users of the new Galaxy Watch6 (probably pre-installed), and then to the Galaxy Watch5 series.
Based on earlier leaks, the Galaxy Watch6 uses the exact same temperature sensor as the existing Galaxy Watch5 line of smartwatches. And they will work the same way. Samsung finally made the Galaxy Watch5’s temperature sensor available with an April update, but then it focused mainly on tracking women’s cycles.
The presentation of Galaxy Unpacked will take place on July 26, 2023, at 14:00 Moscow time
