Apparently, the only difference between the 5G version and 4G will be the hardware platform.
Redmi is preparing for the premiere of the budget smartphone Redmi 12 5G – the premiere will take place on August 1. Meanwhile, the device has already appeared in the Geekbench database, thanks to which its hardware platform has become known.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 instead of Mediatek Helio G88. Redmi 12 5G spotted on Geekbench
The Redmi 12 5G is based on the SoC Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (while the 4G version is built on the Mediatek Helio G88), the amount of RAM was 8 GB, and Android 13 acted as the OS.

It is expected that in technical terms (except, of course, SoC), the new version will not differ from Redmi 12 4G. That is, there will be a 50-megapixel camera and a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18-watt charging.
