OnePlus 12 to debut in China in December

The network is gradually accumulating information about the upcoming flagship smartphone OnePlus. This time, the first high-quality images of OnePlus 12 have become public. They were shared by reliable network whistleblower Steve Hemmerstoffer, known on Twitter under the nickname Onleaks. Initially, the images were published exclusively by the Smartprix resource, emphasizing that the renders were created based on real photos of the smartphone prototype.

Judging by the renders, the OnePlus 12 offers a noticeable change in design and camera layout. As the source points out, OnePlus seems to have taken inspiration from the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ and opted for a periscope telephoto lens, as opposed to the traditional telephoto lens on the OnePlus 11.

The block of the main camera has become square, it smoothly passes into the side frame. Due to the location of the periscope module, OnePlus moved the LED flash outside of the circular camera ring to the top left corner of the unit. The OnePlus 12 also gets narrower screen bezels and the front camera has moved from the top left corner to the center.

In terms of specs, the OnePlus 12 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 2K OLED screen at 120Hz, the upcoming flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a 5000mAh battery, support for 150W wired charging and wireless 50 W. The main camera can get a 50-megapixel IMX9 series sensor, a 50-megapixel wide-angle module and a 64-megapixel Omnivision OV64B periscope module. This is a significant step up from the OnePlus 11’s 50MP, 48MP and 32MP cameras.
