Yandex has launched a new feature of the Yandex.Maps service, which is especially useful in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the developers, the innovation will help to assess how free it is at the box office now, and will be useful to everyone who is trying to maintain a social distance.
More precisely, it became possible to find out on Yandex.Maps how many people stand in line at the supermarket. This function worked in the web version of Yandex.Maps – next to the name of the organization you can see the rating: “no queue”, “small”, “large”. It is planned that soon it will appear in the Yandex.Maps and Yandex.Navigator mobile applications.
At the moment, 169 supermarkets “Alphabet of Taste” and 55 Perekrestok stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg are connected to the project. In the near future, Alfa-Bank will also join with 400 branches throughout Russia.
Yandex.Mart developers offer to connect to the project everyone who wants to help customers choose the best time to visit. Application can be left on a special page.
