The first information and appearance of the DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5 appeared on the PlayStation blog.
The developers note that the players fell in love with DualShock 4 and so far it has been the best controller for the PlayStation consoles. The new device, along with the virtual three-dimensional sound system PS5 Tempest 3D AudioTech, will give players new sensations of immersion.

When creating DualSense, it was decided to improve the design and add new features:
- Tactile feedback and adaptive triggers on the L2 and R2 buttons with different levels of resistance to simulate in-game effects – shooting, bow, shotgun, etc .;
- The increased battery life of the rechargeable battery (charged via USB Type-C),
- The most reduced weight;
- Buttons “Create” and “Share”;
- Built-in microphone (you can communicate without a headset);
- Two-tone design;
- Changed the position of the light panel;
According to the creators, this option was chosen after creating several concepts and hundreds of layouts.
