Sales will start before the end of the year
Sony has just unveiled its new portable game console. Formerly known under the code name Project Q, the novelty will appear on store shelves as the Sony PlayStation Portal.
The console will be available before the end of 2023 for $200 in the US and €220 in Europe. The exact start date for pre-orders has not yet been announced.
Sony introduced the portable console PlayStation Portal
The console features an 8-inch 1080p LCD screen at 60Hz. PlayStation Portal focuses on streaming PlayStation Remote Play games by connecting remotely to the PlayStation 5 over a local area network via Wi-Fi. PlayStation Portal allows you to play games installed on the PS5 console, including using the Dualsense controller
There is a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones. The PlayStation Portal also features the core features of the DualSense controller, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Virtual reality games that require a PS VR2 headset are not supported, as are cloud streaming games via PlayStation Plus Premium.
Sony also unveiled the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore wireless headphones today .
