Lossless Sound and AI Noise Reduction
In addition to the PlayStation Portal portable console , Sony today unveiled the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore true wireless headphones in a compact design.
As promised by the manufacturer, the new wireless headset Pulse Elite provides “lossless sound”, equipped with a retractable microphone and an artificial intelligence noise reduction system that can filter background sounds. The package also includes a charging “hanger” for convenient charging and storage.
Pulse Explore is Sony’s first set of wireless gaming headphones. Headphones are equipped with two microphones and an artificial intelligence noise reduction system. Pulse Explore also delivers “lossless sound” and comes with a charging case.

The Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore will be the first PlayStation audio devices to use specially designed planar magnetic drivers to deliver the audiophile-level listening experience typically found in premium headphones for professional audio engineers.
Another feature was the connection to PlayStation Portal via the new PlayStation Link wireless audio technology, designed to provide low latency, lossless sound and easy switching between multiple sources. To connect to the PlayStation 5, a special USB adapter is provided. Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore can connect to both a PlayStation Link enabled device (PS5, PC, Mac or PlayStation Portal) and a Bluetooth enabled device at the same time.
The Pulse Elite is priced at $150/€ and the Pulse Explore is $199.99 or €220. Sony plans to release more details soon, including a start date for pre-orders and a launch date.
