Spike Chunsoft will make and release an action RPG based on the manga Made in Abyss

The Japanese publishing house Spike Chunsoft on its official website, has presented a new project of its own production – a three-dimensional action role-playing game Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness.

As the name suggests, Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness is based on the Made in Abyss manga, launched in 2012, and has since received several adaptations, including a feature film.

Made in Abyss tells the story of an orphaned girl named Riko, who befriends the humanoid robot Reg and descends with him into that very Abyss in the hope of finding her mother there.

Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness was overseen by Made in Abyss author Akihito Tsukushi and features an original storyline.

The game will unfold “many days after Riko and Reg went to the Abyss” They promise elements of dark fantasy and the ability to “relive the anime experience in story mode

In terms of estimated premiere dates and target platforms, Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness is slated to launch in 2022 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

It is also reported that at the appointed time, the digital version of Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness will go on sale and retail. Numskull Games will be responsible for its distribution in Europe.
