This is an enterprise solution.
Solidigm, which emerged after Hynix bought Intel’s NAND flash and SSD business, has unveiled the D5-P5336 PCIe 4.0 Enterprise SSD, which has a capacity of 61.44TB in its older version.
PCIe 4.0 D5-P5336 is the world’s first SSD with QLC memory, delivering 7 GB/s sequential read speed and 3.1 GB/s sequential write speed. Performance at the same time reaches 1 million IOPS.
Now the drive is available in the form factor E1.L with a volume of 15.36 TB and 30.72 TB. A 61.44 TB version in E1.L and U.2 form factors should appear later in the year, with a 30.72 TB E3.S version coming in 2024.
SSD over 60 TB. Solidigm PCIe 4.0 D5-P5336 Introduced for AI and Huge Data
The new SSD is focused on AI, machine learning and content delivery workloads.
According to the manufacturer, its SSD is much smaller than the TCL memory storage array and consumes less power. At the same volume, the power consumption of PCIe 4.0 D5-P5336 is 17% lower.
You can also add that the MTBF is declared equal to 2 million hours.
