Synology NAS DS1621 + is based on AMD Ryzen V1500B processo

According to NAS Compares, Synology will soon be launching the DS1621 + NAS. The basis of this device, made in a desktop form factor, will be the AMD hardware platform represented by the Ryzen V1500B processor.

The named chip contains four computing cores with the ability to simultaneously process up to eight instruction streams. The clock speed is 2.2 GHz. In the new storage, the processor functions in tandem with 4GB of DDR4 ECC SODIMM memory (expandable to 32GB).

The novelty is designed to install six SATA drives in a 3.5 or 2.5-inch form factor. In addition, there are two slots for fast M.2 2280 NVMe solid-state modules. Provides a PCIe Gen3 x8 slot for an expansion card.

The storage is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet network ports. The set of interfaces includes two eSATA connectors and three USB 3.2 Gen1 (5 Gb / s) ports, one of which is brought to the front panel. Dimensions are 166 × 282 × 243 mm. The cooling system uses two fans.

There is no information on the timing of the start of sales and the estimated cost of Synology DS1621 + yet.
