Pre-orders in China have already started
The Tank 700 Hi4-T plug-in hybrid (PHEV) off-road SUV from Great Wall Motor has become available for order at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The Chinese-made SUV is available for $96,000. Only 70 units will be available in the first batch. A limited edition will be delivered in February next year.
Customers who pay a deposit will receive a lifetime warranty on basic maintenance, powertrain, Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and roadside assistance services.
The Tank 700 Hi4-T is a relatively large vehicle with dimensions of 5113 × 2061 × 1952 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm. Under the hood it has a 3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 360 hp. and 500 N•m. It is paired with a 9AT transmission and an electric motor. The total power of this power unit reaches 517 hp. and 750 N•m.

The Tank 700 Hi4-T will be the third PHEV model under the Tank brand. It will also be the first car to feature the Hi4-T system and a 3-litre V6 engine. Other Tank-badged PHEV models use a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine.
The Tank 400 Hi4-T has a large touch screen, many physical buttons and a three-spoke steering wheel. It is worth noting that there are only five seats inside. This is a large SUV with huge headlights, wide wheel arches, a sporty front bumper and a vent in the hood. At the rear there is a roof spoiler and an aggressive rear diffuser. The car has a hinged tailgate with a spare tire installed on it.
