Tata Motors has made a strong impression in the compact SUV segment with its latest offering, the Curvv. This stylish SUV-coupe is available in four variants: Smart, Pure+, Creative, and Accomplished. Exterior: A Blend of Style and Substance

The Curvv Creative boasts a sleek and modern design, with its SUV-coupe silhouette turning heads on the road. While it shares many similarities with the top-spec Accomplished variant, there are a few subtle differences. The Creative variant features chrome inserts on the grille and air dam, but misses out on LED fog lights and connected LED DRLs. Additionally, it doesn’t have sequential turn indicators.

In profile, the Curvv Creative carries a lot of similarities from its top-spec counterpart. There’s a chrome treatment on the shoulder line, and the ‘Curvv’ badging is prominently displayed on the front doors. The alloy wheels are identical to those offered on the higher-spec variants, but they are slightly smaller at 17 inches.

Interior: A Comfortable and Tech-Packed Cabin

Step inside the Curvv Creative, and you’ll be greeted by a black and white cabin theme. The seats are upholstered in grey fabric, providing a comfortable and stylish feel. The steering wheel is a 4-spoke unit wrapped in leatherette, offering a good grip.

The Creative variant is equipped with a range of amenities, including:

  • 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Automatic AC
  • 8-speaker sound system
  • Cruise control
  • Push button engine start/stop

The Creative S variant, which sits just above the regular Creative trim, adds automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers.

For rear passengers, the Curvv Creative provides rear AC vents for enhanced comfort. Safety features on this variant include 6 airbags, a rear parking camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Performance: Power and Efficiency

The Curvv Creative is offered with two engine options:

  • 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine: Delivering 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque.
  • 1.5-liter diesel engine: Producing 118 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque.

Both engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT. The Creative variant doesn’t get the option of the new 1.2-liter GDi (direct injection) turbo-petrol engine, which is available in the higher-spec variants.

Price and Rivals

The Creative variant of the Tata Curvv is priced between Rs 12.20 lakh and Rs 13.70 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India). The Creative S variant costs Rs 50,000 more.

The Curvv Creative competes with other mid-spec variants of compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Volkswagen Taigun.
