Exterior Design and Lighting Features

Connected LED Tail Lights

The Tata Curvv has been spotted with connected LED tail lights, similar to those showcased on the concept model earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. These tail lights are expected to feature welcome and goodbye animations, as well as a sequential effect for turn indicators. Such lighting elements have become a hallmark in Tata’s recent models like the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari.

Front LED DRLs

While recent spy shots did not capture the front end, earlier images and showcases indicate that the Curvv will feature full-width connected LED daytime running lights (DRLs). These DRLs will also have welcome and goodbye animations, enhancing the vehicle’s modern and sophisticated appearance.

Interior and Infotainment

Advanced Touchscreen and Digital Display

Inside, the Tata Curvv is expected to come equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This large, high-definition screen will likely support the latest connectivity options, ensuring a seamless user experience. Additionally, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display will provide essential driving information in a clear and accessible format.

Comfort and Convenience

Comfort features in the Tata Curvv are set to include ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof, offering a luxurious feel to the cabin. The panoramic sunroof will enhance the sense of space inside the vehicle, making every journey more enjoyable.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Comprehensive Safety Features

Safety is a top priority for Tata Motors, and the Curvv is expected to come with an extensive safety kit. This will include six airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control (ESC).

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

The Tata Curvv will also feature a full suite of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These systems are expected to include lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Such features will not only enhance safety but also provide a more comfortable and stress-free driving experience.

Powertrains and Performance

Turbo-Petrol and Diesel Engines

The Tata Curvv will introduce Tata Motors’ new 1.2-litre T-GDi (turbo-petrol) engine, delivering 125 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque. Additionally, the Curvv will borrow the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Tata Nexon, offering 115 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque.

Transmission Options

The petrol variant is expected to come with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The diesel engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, providing drivers with multiple options to suit their preferences.

Expected Price and Market Position

Competitive Pricing

The Tata Curvv is anticipated to be priced from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). This competitive pricing will position the Curvv well within the compact SUV segment, offering a compelling option for buyers.

Rivals in the Market

In the Indian market, the Tata Curvv will compete directly with Citroen Basalt. It will also face competition from other popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Skoda Kushaq.
