Tata Embraces Darkness: Nexon and Nexon EV Get Stealthy Dark Editions

The Tata Nexon and Nexon EV, two of India’s most popular SUVs, have received a stylish update with the launch of their Dark Edition variants. Joining the ranks of the previously introduced Harrier and Safari Dark Editions, these new additions offer a bolder aesthetic for those seeking a sportier and more distinct look.

Unveiling the Dark Side: What’s New in the Dark Editions?

The defining characteristic of the Dark Editions lies in their all-black exterior theme. This transformation starts with a captivating Oberon Black paint job that envelops the entire car, exuding an aura of mystery and sophistication. To complement the dark exterior, both the Nexon and Nexon EV Dark Edition sport blacked-out elements, including:

Dark badging: Replacing the chrome badges with sleek black ones, creates a cohesive and stealthy look.

Black alloy wheels: Replacing the standard silver or chrome wheels with stylish black alternatives, enhances the sporty appeal.

The interior of both Dark Editions also embraces the dark theme. While the specifics haven’t been officially revealed by Tata, it’s safe to expect black upholstery, possibly with contrasting stitching, to complement the exterior design and further elevate the car’s sporty character.

A Darker Choice for Every Nexon Fan

Tata has ensured that enthusiasts of both petrol and diesel engine options can experience the Dark Edition’s charm. The Dark Edition variations are available across all Nexon fuel trims, allowing a wider range of buyers to embrace the bolder aesthetic.

However, for the Nexon EV, the Dark Edition is currently limited to the long-range variant. This might be due to production or marketing strategies, but it’s important to note this difference when considering your options.

Price Point and Feature Parity

The Dark Editions come at a slight premium compared to their non-Dark counterparts. The Nexon Dark Edition starts at Rs 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Nexon EV Dark Edition carries a starting price of Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This price difference reflects the additional features and aesthetic enhancements offered by the Dark Editions.

It’s important to note that no changes have been made to the feature list of either the Nexon or Nexon EV Dark Edition compared to their standard counterparts. This means you’ll get the same level of equipment and functionality as the regular variants, with the bonus of the unique Dark Edition aesthetics.
