Tesla Model 3 Highland named “best car you can buy in Norway” according to Motor.no

The comparison involved 50 popular models

The redesigned Tesla Model 3, which was codenamed Highland during development, won a big comparison and was named “the best car you can buy in Norway” according to Motor.no.

The comparison involved 50 models, including Tesla Model Y, BMW iX, Volkswagen ID. 3, MG4, Peugeot e-2008, Renault Megane and many other models. During the tests, it was confirmed that the interior quality of the Tesla Model 3 has improved compared to its predecessor. The cabin has become quieter thanks to more sound-absorbing material, as well as the addition of double glazing around the perimeter. Previously, the Model 3 only had acoustic glass for the three front windows.

The redesigned Model 3 won the Best Small Family Car category, as well as overall. The Model Y took first place in the midsize car group, followed by the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The BMW iX was named best large family car, while the Peugeot e-208 city hatchback took first place in the small car class.

Norway has one of the highest EV penetration rates in the world, so it’s no surprise that many battery-powered cars are winners in categories available for both petrol and diesel models.

In the first 10 months of this year, more than 87,000 battery electric vehicles were sold in Norway, representing 83.5% of the market. Plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) account for 7% of the market, while diesel and petrol cars struggle for less than 10% of the market.
