The exception would be the Core i7-14700K
According to all the leaks, for the most part, the Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors that are expected in October will only be slightly accelerated models of the current generation. The exception will be Core i7, which will increase the number of small cores. In this regard, jokes about a 5% increase in Intel will again be relevant, but MSI says that you should not count on 5% either.
The company has published promotional posters that reveal some details about the 14th Gen Core. In particular, MSI directly says that on average new items will be 3% faster than their predecessors. The Core i7-14700K will stand out strongly against this backdrop with a 17% boost thanks to four additional small cores.
That is, this time Intel will not be able to provide even a 5% increase.
No architectural changes should be expected, and in fact only the question of price remains open. There were rumors that the new CPUs would be more expensive than their predecessors.
